The relationship between the human and the built form provides the theme for the works in Morphed Habitat.  The agglomerated structures of the city are the evidence of our often chaotic, frequently stressful, interactions with the urban environment.  However the city also offers inspiration, calm and quiet. I try to capture these moments of respite, where the city is reduced to the scale of the wearable: capable of being viewed in fragments or shapes and surfaces that can engage our senses. It is at the level of the fragments, and shapes that I look to as inspiration for my making.

My work is created using contemporary technology, in the form of CAD and 3D printing and then coloured and finished by hand..  The material is a type of nylon that is formed using the selective laser sintering process..
